How can Credit Law Services help me?

By addressing and disputing inaccurate, untimely, misleading, biased, incomplete or unverifiable negative items from your credit reports, we are able to help improve your credit score and bring immeasurable financial relief. Our services are all designed to target disputes based upon the Fair Credit Reporting Act and provide you with important credit resource tools - and to ultimately equip you for credit success.

What does the credit repair process look like?

Our All-in-One Service Package uses targeted disputes based upon the Fair Credit Reporting Act with the goal of having questionable negative information deleted from your credit reports. Our All-in-One Package also goes one step further and adds strategies based on other consumer protection statutes, including:  the federal Fair Credit Billing Act which allows you to request extensive information regarding billing and account history; The Truth in Lending Act which stipulates conditions for establishing credit accounts, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which defines your rights regarding accounts that have passed into collection status.

Once credit reports are received from you, they are analysed to determine the degree that negative items are affecting your credit score. Questionable items are then identified, addressed and disputed through our credit report repair process. Credit Law Services then prepares to initiate intervention and investigation. When the credit bureau's investigation is complete, you are sent an updated credit report indicating what negative credit on your report has been resolved.

Other methods employed by Credit Law Services include escalated account investigations, goodwill interventions and formal requests for debt validation. The goal in utilizing these additional methods is to accelerate results from the credit bureau.

Is credit repair a long process?

Each credit case is unique and for this reason Credit Law Services does not guarantee that the credit repair process will produce results in a particular time frame - long or short. In the same way, the results of each  investigation may vary, depending on the nature and quantity of items being questioned.  Other factors that effect the timeliness of the credit report repair process include the timely submission of your reports and the level of cooperation from the credit bureaus.

Is there a legal means to repairing my bad credit?

The information found on your credit report may not always represent your behavior as a consumer accurately, so it is imperative that you exercise your legal right to have questionable items disputed - and if found erroneous - removed.   The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) give you the legal means to dispute inaccurate items on your credit reports with the credit bureaus and with your individual creditors.

Normally, disputes are initiated with credit bureaus directly. Items on your credit report that you feel are inaccurate, untimely, misleading, biased, incomplete or unverified should be indicated in the dispute. In accordance with the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) you have every right to challenge the accuracy of negative items on your report. The credit bureau is then responsible for conducting an investigation to determine the validity of the disputed items - and then must make the respective corrections or deletions as necessary.

For many consumers, learning about their legal right to fair and accurate credit reporting has been the first step toward restored credit and increased credit score. Don't wait another day - get informed.

Is it possible to pay extra for additional services?

Credit Law Services does make available  upgraded services that utilize  additional creditor interventions, escalated info requests and debt validation. These services are charged by the action and are generally less cost-effective than our All-in-One Service Package.

What should I do if deleted items reappear on my credit report?

Although not a common occurrence,  recently deleted negative listings may eventually be verified by the creditor. The FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) requires notification from the credit bureau before previously deleted listings are re-reported, and generally makes it more difficult to re-report listings. Credit Law Services will also help you challenge questionable credit items if they occur at a later point.

Will paying my bills help to restore my credit?

In the world of credit reporting, if you pay an old debt, the negative credit listing remains. Normally, once a bill is paid, it appears on your credit report as a paid delinquency, charge off or collection, depending on the item. Concurrent with paying off debt should be a plan to restore your credit.

Do I need to monitor my credit?

Unfortunately, far too many consumers don't know what questionable negative listings are appearing on their credit report. Many more do not have an idea of their credit condition until they are denied credit.  Credit Law Services can help you analyze your credit history and advise you on a plan of action.
